Richard G Brown Chief Technology Officer
Previously, Richard was the Executive Architect for Banking and Financial Markets industry innovation at IBM UK. His previous roles with the company, for whom he worked for almost fifteen years, included Lead Account Architect for a global Investment Banking client and a consultant for IBM software products. Richard is a Chartered Engineer, holds an MBA with distinction from Warwick Business School and a first-class degree in Mathematics from Trinity College, Cambridge.
Charley Cooper Chief Communications Officer
Charley spent over two years as the Chief of Staff / Chief Operating Officer for the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and served as Senior Advisor to Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz at the Pentagon. In recognition of his service, Cooper was awarded the Office of the Secretary of Defense Medal for Exceptional Public Service in May 2005. He has earned both a B.A. (Government) and a J.D. from Georgetown University.
James Carlyle Chief Information Officer
Before Barclays, James co-founded two start-ups and holds patents in mobile data search and directory technology. He is a Chartered Engineer and holds a degree in Engineering Science from University College, Durham.
David E. Rutter Founder & Chief Executive Officer
With over 30 years of experience leading some of Wall Street’s top institutions, David is a longtime creative thought leader in financial markets and innovation, and has played a significant role in the adoption of electronic trading in the global OTC derivatives industry.
David served for ten years as the CEO of Electronic Broking at ICAP Plc, the world’s largest interdealer broker, where he led the BrokerTec fixed income and EBS foreign exchange platforms. Prior to ICAP, David was co-owner and CEO (Americas) of Prebon Yamane.
Todd McDonald Co-Founder & Chief Product Officer
In his current role, Todd is responsible for R3’s product and marketing strategy, aligning key markets and customers to drive the longer term strategic roadmap for Corda. He also served on the Hyperledger Governing Board where he oversaw all project business and marketing matters. Todd, alongside fellow leaders in the crypto assets sector, founded The Global Digital Finance (GDF) industry body to release an industry code of conduct to drive sustainable crypto assets innovation.
Prior to R3, Todd spent fourteen years at Standard Chartered Bank as a Managing Director in their financial markets group where he held positions such as Global Head of Electronic FX Trading and Head of FX for the Americas. Todd holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from Colgate University, NY.
Cathy Minter Chief Revenue Officer
Following AT&T, Minter held strategic sales positions within Oracle’s Communications Industry, then moved on to executive management positions at SAP, including Vice President, U.S. Communications Industry. Following SAP, Minter was appointed President of Cordys Americas, an orchestration and cloud technology software start-up that was acquired by OpenText. Cathy has a degree in economics from Clemson University and an MBA from Fordham University.
